Manufacturing Capability
We are committed to providing the highest
quality product and service.

At Eco Modular Buildings we are committed to providing a high quality product and service. All units assembled follow a stringent 3 step quality control process with all work being carried out in accordance with our library of standard work instructions and quality standard documents. We drive a culture that all employees are responsible for quality and avoid passing poor quality on to the next step of the process.

Initiatives to introduce LEAN have been implemented including a 5S visual facility, value added / non valued analysis of processes and identification of the seven forms of waste along with a continuous improvement plan which itemises all areas of potential improvement. The plan is tracked continuously to measure productivity and cost benefits to both Eco Modular Buildings and our customer.

Our manufacturing facility comprises:

28,000 Sq ft

Warehouse and pre-assembly
manufacturing cells

51,000 Sq ft

110,000 Sq ft

Manufacturing area

The size and the Lean organisation
of our facility provides us with the
ability to manufacture up to
20 modules per week during
a single shift depending on size
and specification of the build.

The assembly cells are ‘line-balanced’ to allow even cell workflow. All materials are transported to the cell during the assembly period at pre-determined intervals by our facilitation team.

Each assembly cell is manned by trained, qualified team members, led by an experienced team leader. The cell and facilitation team leaders report to the Production Manager who in turn reports to the operations director. We operate a clean-floor manufacturing system.

On site

On site we complete the external and internal/roof bay to bay joints with pre-manufactured cassette inserts.

Floor finishes and suspended ceiling systems with integral modular lighting are site-fixed together with any ceiling mounted heat/cool air conditioning systems and other items of second fix that could not be factory completed.

The operations team boast a vast
amount of experience from project
managing building installations in
challenging sites all over the UK
including locations such as Prisons,
Schools, PowerStation’s and
hospitals to name but a few.
