Neasden Primary School
Hull

We were invited to partner BAM in 2014 in their bid for the Hull Schools framework which included three secondary
and two primary EFA FOS compliant schools. BAM were successful in their bid and Eco Modular were appointed to
deliver the Neasden Primary School in 2015.

Working with the extended project team of BAM, Silcock Leedham and Bond Bryan Architects together with our partner
mechanical consultants Alan Wood and partners and Ridings Mechanical consultants we developed a design that fully met the
very stringent requirements of the EFA FOS. We believe that Eco Modular were the first off-site construction business in the
UK to achieve this recognition.

Using natural ventilation systems by Breathing Buildings and an advanced BMS system we were able to guarantee TM52
compliance, preventing summer overheating and delivering a cost effective, efficient winter heating strategy.
The two storey building featured the Eco Modular unique solution for the double storey 180m2 multi-purpose hall.
We started manufacture in our factory in August 2015, taking the first tranche of modules to site in October.
The building was handed over during the February 2016 half-term and teaching commencing straight afterwards.

Clad in a very attractive Sienna Brown Trespa HPL, the building looks amazing and provides an extremely light and airy
teaching spaces and circulation areas. We are so pleased to have been able to work with the BAM and extended team to
design and build the Neasden Primary school.
